We now look at monthly anomalies, rather than the mean annual cycle. In the interest of trying to develop a low-cost monitoring scheme for the ACC flow field and its properties, we have constructed a regression model for our three observed parameters. As input fields we are considering the following regional and local time series:

1. Temperature, salinity, and dynamic height fields measured at station GAK1.
2. The Middleton Island wind fields.
3. Tom Royer's Fresh Water Discharge time series.
