Stan is a chemical engineering graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. In 2003, Stan retired from the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) where he worked as an Environmental Engineer for nearly 15 years. Shortly after retiring from DEC, Stan was hired to work as a Research Technician with the ORION project. During his time with ORION (2004-2007), Stan was responsible for the installation and operation of ORION stations. Stan and his wife, Ann, currently resided in Tasmania.
