Buoy 39990

Launch date: 21 May 2003 at 02:57 local time. Latitude: 60° 39.70´N, Longitude 151° 35.00´W

This buoy drifted for a day after it was released, but stopped transmitting on 23 April 2003 at 09:40. During that time, almost all the GPS data were invalid (i.e. 90°S, and 0° longitude). We have discussed this problem with Technocean. Test data showed that correct values of position were received by the satellite after it was assembled in Florida. Technocean has agreed to replace the buoy for us. The below positions are from the ARGOS satellite.
