Project Completion
In October 2017, with the completion of the NPRB funded phase of C2O2, a new Results page has been added to this website. We are excited to see the hard work of our community participants come together in these years-long timeseries.
Project Development
In Spring 2017, sampling with an RBR CTD began in Sitka, AK. These data consist of both samples at a monitoring stations, and occasional transects within the fjord.
Data collected up until October 2017 are on display at the Sitka Data page, but sampling will continue with updates published as resources allow.
The C2O2 project was featured in an article in Physics Today by Ashley G. Smart: "Citizen observers chart Arctic Change", Physics Today, 70, 2, 29 (2017); https://doi.org/10.1063/PT.3.3459
In May 2015, Dr. Seth Danielson and Dr. Peter Winsor traveled to Old Harbor, to help begin the data collection there.
In October 2014, Dr. Seth Danielson traveled to St. Paul, and invited students to create logos for C2O2.
